Can CBSE exams be Scrapped, Supreme Court asks CBSE to make decision
The corona count is nowhere stopping and increasing at expontial rates in India. The SC of India directed CBSE to take decision on Boards Exam by Tuesday.
This is considering the plea of parents in view of corona pandemic.
The court aksed Board to scrap the the remaining paper for Board Exams and give marks on the basis of internal assessment.
The Decision of whether to open School and Colleges is to be taken in month of July which will be Phase 2 of Unlock1.
Union HRD Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank held a meeting with Secretary of School Education and Literacy Department on Tuesday to discuess the present scenario.
Reason for this Plea
A petition was filed by parents of students who have appeared for CBSE class 12 examinations this year. THey deamnded the remaining Board exams to be nulled and students getting marks based on internal assessment.
Conducting Board Exams in July endangers the life of thousands of students, the covid-19 cases are likely to increase manifold by that time.
It also displays discrimination by the CBSE, as several other boards and colleges across the country have cancelled their respective examinations
