India covid-19 cases jumps over 57,000 in last 24 hours

With 57,117 people getting tested positive for covid-19 within a day, India’s Covid-19 count neared 17 lakh in number today, on the other hand recoveries jumped to 10,94,374.

Country’s covid-19 death toll has reached 36,511 with 764 fatalities being recorded in a day.

The fatality percentage from covid-19 currently stands at 2.18% in India as compared to global averag of 4 percent.

Total COVID19 positive cases stand at 16,95,988 including 5,65,103 active cases, 10,94,374 cured/discharged/migrated and 36,511 deaths, the health ministry said.
