What is Likely to Reopen

Flight to small towns are likely to start soon, but international travel will be restricted.

200 trains can run from June 1. Ticket booking has started for trains.

States Like Odisha and Andhra PRadesh have started inter state bus travel services. Other states may also start inter state services from June 1.

Metro trains may also run however less passengers willtravel initially and social distancing norms will be followed.

More Shops and markets may be opened. Shopping Mall is expected to remain closed.

Decisions can also be taken regarding gym, cinema hall, religious places and salons. Containment and red zone areas where coronavirus cases are still high people may have to wait longer.

The Ministry of Education is also working on creating new guidelines to reopen schools. Under these guidelines, it is possible that students of 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th are allowed to attend school with strict social distancing rules.

The Centre has allowed board examinations to be conducted for students of Classes 10 and 12. CBSE has already announced it will hold examinations in the first two weeks of July.

Union Home Ministry is finalising the guidelines for the next phase after Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Chief Ministers over the last 24 hours, and met PM Modi on Friday.

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has already announced the easing of lockdown rules starting June 1, allowing places of worship to open with maximum ten persons present at a time, and prohibiting any major gathering or celebration of festivals. All offices in private and public sector will also be allowed to operate with a 100 per cent strength from June 8
