PM Modi will hold video conference with Chief Ministers on 16 June
The death toll due to covid-19 surged with 396 in last 24 hours, the total numbr of death now count to 8,498.
PM Narendra Damodar Das Modi will hold a video conference with all the state and Union Territories Chief Ministers on 16th and 17th June.
This will be the 6th and 7th meeting with chief minsters since the covid-19 outbreak.
Modi will consult with CMS next weekand and may reconsider the re-opening of Lockdown amidst increasing cases.
The conference meet will see 21 state/UTs on 16 June from Punjab, Assam, Jharkhand, Chhatisgarh, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Himachal, Goa, Chandigarh, Manipur, Nagaland, Puducherry, Ladakh, Arunachal, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Dadar Nagar Haveli & Daman Diu, Sikkim, Lakshadweep.
The remaining states meeting will commence on 17th June.
Earlier PM Modi have interacted with CMs 5 times with closest on 11th May .
India in now under 5th phase of lockdown with several relaxations, However Containement Zones still have many restrictions.
On the other, India with 10 thousand fresh cases recorded its highest ever rise in single day covid-19 cases.
