Mircrosft is planning to launch its Microsoft Duo Screen Surface ahead of Samsung Galaxy Fold 2. The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is to be launched on 5 August. Mircosoft may launch in July its Surface Duo.

The Redmond-based tech giant showcased the Microsoft Surface Duo and Microsoft Surface Neo at an occasion last year. And while it originally planned to launch the devices during the vacation 2020 phase, it seems Microsoft is rushing to announce the device purchasable before Samsung does.

When launched, it’s getting to be the primary smartphone from Microsoft after it shuttered the Windows Mobile division. The device will have two displays attached with a proprietary hinge and can run on Android.

The Microsoft Surface Neo, which may be a dual-display laptop, remains quite a while away, consistent with an equivalent report. It’s expected to launch sometime in 2021 with Windows 10X OS .

Writer for Windows Central, Zac Bowden, tweeted the news out which was carried by other notable publications covering Microsoft thorough .

The deadline for the launch date, consistent with the tweet, is that the end of July. And if that’s indeed true, we’d start seeing promotions and adverts of the Surface Duo soon. The device can also start shipping in but two months unless the pandemic plays spoilsport once more .

While Panos Panay did showcase the shape factor of the device, he remained tight-lipped about the hardware the device are going to be using.

However, leaks and rumours suggest the Surface Duo will run the Snapdragon 855 and can feature two 5.6-inch displays with 1800×1350 pixels resolution each. The panel also will support the Surface Pen and therefore the device are going to be around 4.8mm thin.
