The malware is being distributed in the guise of fake Google Updates from 3rd party sites

Important Things to Know about BlackRock Malware

1) It has come from another malware called Xerxes. It is an upgraded version.

2) It targets more than 337 Android Apps.

3) It uses a method called ‘overlays’ to trick users into filling in their log-in details and card details which can fake window that pop up when user tries to log in to a app.

4) BlackRock’s overlays are mainly targetted on phisihing social medi, communication and financial apps.

This malware is distributed in the umbrella of fake Google Updates from 3rd party websites.
